This place saved my life. I live in the Bay Area, but I recently got married in Socal. We had taken our wedding rings to a local jeweler to be resized and engraved. Without getting into too many gorey details, they completely f'd everything up. The engravings we can deal with another time, but they had sized my ring way too small and it was unpassable for a wedding ceremony. It wouldn't fit over my knuckle and seriously needed to be enlarged. We didn't get the rings back until the day before we had to leave for Socal to get married, so I needed my ring enlarged immediately. They tried to do an emergency resize for my ring by stretching the ring Cubic zirconia jewelry, and the ring split. Giant crack right through the ring. They told me to "just hide it" during the ceremony Wedding Jewelry, acting like it's not a big deal that they wrecked my wedding ring right before my wedding. I couldn't pick up my ring until evening because I work all day, so it was too late to try and find another jeweler to save my ass because everything was closed or about to close by then, and I needed my ring back. We stopped at Jewelry Magic on our way down the coast and they were a godsend. They had the jeweler right on site and were open late for a jewelry shop (they closed at 7). The jeweler was appalled by my ring and couldn't believe anyone would try stretching white gold. I don't know a damn thing about jewelry, but I guess this is a big "do not attempt". He was very sympathetic. He took my ring, fixed the crack and sized it perfectly, and had it back to me in 2 hours! THANK YOU.

EVERYONE told me it would take a week AND be around $45 to resize. That's just absurd! I was passing by the shop and the guys were super sweet. Best part: They did it for $25 in ONE HOUR! Second best part: When it was still too big they resized it again in another hour, no additional fee! Really sweet guys and great shop. Don't waste your time on overpriced slowpokes!

I love me some Wynn Optical Express. Its like I took my eyes to the fancy spa.
I ?am a no bullshit type of girl by any means. I love it when business owners are the same way too. I came here with a pair of vintage frames that no one was willing to do because the lenses are shaped a special way. The owner said it would cost $60 to do them including the lenses because they had to be done in a special lab. At Hotel de Ville, they said it would cost $135 for the special procedure alone, and that wasn't including the lenses. I opted not to fill my vintage frames, but my regular frames instead. It cost $30 to fill them, $10 extra because I had oversize frames, and then I opted to have a darker coating on them to make them like sunglasses. $10 extra for that. Overall, I paid $50, but thats nothing compared to soooo many other places. The best part? It took an hour to do everything. You want something quick CZ Jewelry, effortless, and inexpensive? Go to Wynn Optical Express.
This place is FANTASTIC!!!! I'm Asian, so it's very hard to find frames that will stay up on my nose, but they have a great selection of ?"Asian Fit" plastic frames.The saleswoman was also great, helping me sort thru their vast selection and suggesting items that would fit my face well.I went on Black Friday and got 2 pair of Gucci frames at a HUGE discountBest of all, I got 2 pairs of glasses done in about an hour.I would fly back from NYC to get glasses here again!
A day after getting a prescription slip i looked up this place on Yelp and just figured to give it a try. I looked at a few places before actually walking in the door to the establishments,so i walk into this one,and i am glad i did.The turn around time is extremely fast,and if your leaving on vacation or need a pair asap then this is the place for your.Paid a total of $115 for something that would have cost me anywhere from $150 - $280 at other stores. I actually went back a few days after getting my glasses to get a new frame only because when i first picked out a pair of frames the first time,i was naive and in a hurry.Anyhow, Nicole ( the young lady behind the counter ) was very helpful from day one,i even forget a pair of sunglasses and she called me the very same day to let me know they had them and they will be there to be picked up as soon as i returned.So if you need glasses and are in the market to get a set for a reasonable price,i would say you need to check this store out for yourself.They have name brands as well.Parking is tight,either on the street unless you call ahead and if your not taking that long they can accommodate you in a small lot a few doors down.
This tiny shop has the best deals on lenses. ?Their plastic lenses are $30 and anti reflective coating for only $30 more. Other optical stores were charging $50 for just the lenses and $50 more for the anti reflective coating. ?And they're fast - it only took three days to get them done.There's no optometrist on site so you'll have to bring your prescription from elsewhere.They also sell sunglasses as well. ?But I'd be a little careful about buying their name brand stuff. ?Nothing against them, but this is Chinatown after all.
So after a long time without glasses. I finally decided to be a member of the geek club. I had my eye exam in Koreatown then came to Chinatown to get prescription lenses. I already had my own frames so I popped in and everything was so simple and affordable. My lenses came out to wait for it... $30 in just one hour! I dropped them went home did laundry, talked to roomie, cleaned room then headed back to dear Chinatown to pick them up. If you don't have frames not to worry they have a great selection there for great prices.
